 Teaching and Research Department in Ethics Education of HFEI is a teaching and researching unit that takes charge of implementing teaching of ideological education course for the college students and researching on the subjects of ideological and political education. Set up in 1984, our department at present has a staff of 12 teachers and 1 administrator including 3 professors, 4 associate professors, 4 instructors, 1 vice-researcher, 1 office administrator. There are 4 subordinate teaching and research sections including: Ideological and Moral Cultivation, Aesthetics, Chinese Ethics, Situation and Policy Section; 2 educational centers: Psychological Health and Art Education; a reference room and an administrative office.
ˇˇ Our department is responsible for teaching work ranging from the ideological and moral cultivation to the Chinese ethics, psychology, music courses, etc. In recent years, our department, on the one hand, tries our best to accomplish our teaching work, and on the other hand, takes an active part in teaching research activities.
ˇˇ Over 100 research papers, 30 academic works and textbooks have been published; more than 30 research projects at national, provincial and bureau levels have been accomplished; more than 30 research achievements have been rewarded at provincial and bureau levels.
ˇˇ All the staff of our department go all out, aim high and unite as one in order to develop a virtuous circle in teaching and research work. Thus, in the latest years, our department has been awarded many times as an advanced and spiritual civilization unit. Many teachers have been rewarded as either advanced teachers or outstanding party members.
