The predecessor of the engineering management department of Finance and economics university of Henan is the agricultural economic management department. Renaming for the adjustment in the direction and run a new speciality in 2002. since building the department, under the unified leadership of the university , our department regards“ the thick
foundation wide requirements, strong ability , high quality ” as guiding theory . Training the high quality talents who have theory and applied economic managerial ability is our goal . All teachers and　students who pioneer and keep ahead . do all one can strive , overcoming the enormous impact brought by the speciality .In teaching practise and subject building , teachers team training and serving economic construction etc . we all make the outstanding achievement .

　 At present , the engineering management department has already formed an experienced teaching age composition is rational ,the speciality makes a reservation in dear teachers team have 3 professors, associate professor is 4, 3 young teachers are reading doctor degree teachers who have master’s degree or reach the master degree candidate or the same education level . In recent years, teachers of my department presides over and participates in national-level 4 items of scientific
research project that are finished . The scientific research projects at provincial and ministerial levels are 10, publishing 13 teaching materials and monographs , publishing more than 100 theses getting at provincial and ministerial levels reward 5 besides many drawing room . Office grades of scientific research projects and reward . Once chosen as “the advanced group of research work ” by the university .

　Our department owns four specialities of three levels of the master ,undergraduate course, training in common . Separately . Agricultural economic management ,engineering management , rural regional development and the management and administration of the real estate . 　 The agricultural economic management speciality is one of the undergraduate’s specialities recruited in the first batch of our academy . We mainly train the senior specialized personnel who possess systematic management science and the relevant scientific and the basic theory with scientific economy and relevant scientific knowledge of agriculture ,the basic method to grasp economic management and technical ability , and at the same time who can at all level government department , Agricultural industrial and commercial enterprises , Financial institution and education R＆D institution engage in economic management、 enterprise management market business administration 、 financial accounting teaching and scientific research etc . In recent years , the graduates who study this professional are well employed . and meanwhile pass the postgraduate examination easily . The 2003rd graduate of this speciality amounts to 71 people , reach employment rate 90% , who are partly employed at all levels government department , educational R＆D institution and well-known enterprise , among them , one people has an examination through the certified accountant , 13 people are enrolled for the master degree candidute by famous universities . Such as Nankai university , Finance and economics university of shanghai . Beijing Normal University , Northeastern finance and economics university , etc. Proportion of students entering schools of a higher grade comes out at the top in the whole university to prepare for the postgraduate qualifying examination .

　The engineering management speciality is developed on the basis of the real estate speciality . Began to enroll new students in 2002 . We mainly train the complex advanced management talents who possess the rudimentary knowledges of management 、economics and building 、engineering who can grasp the theory of modern management science , method and means , and who can be engaged in project making policy and the whole course management in the field of domestic and international engineering construction . This speciality consists of two directions . Engineering management direction and real estate management and administration direction .

　 The real estate management and administration speciality our department offers in Henan is the first and even an only speciality of recruiting the undergraduate , train , and meeting the needs of socialist modernization drive , familiar with the economic theory of the real estate , understanding construction work knowledge . Can be in the comprehensive administrative department of the real estate , applied talents engaged in vocational works , such as development of real estate , management and administration 、finance 、appraising 、etc . This speciality recruited the first undergraduate since 1994 , has already graduated from the fourth undergraduate and the third two (-or-three) –year –term .

　 College student in this speciality , the employment rate is more than 95% . Some graduates achievement is proud , the approval of the real estate cirde , some have already become the lime manager of property firm , other established their own advisory companies .
It is the bachelor degree that our department will newly be opened in 2004 that our the countryside area development , the speciality mainly train the senior specialized personnel who possess the theory of rural regional development , basic knowledge and technical ability . Who can be in the agricultural enterprise , administrative department of agricultural extension , the government and public institution . engaged in planning , planning and designing , popularizing and developing , management and administration teaching and scientific research etc .
　
　 Agricultural economic management master’s degree is sanctioned in 1996 , and begin to enroll new students in 1997 . Which is one of our academy . that consist of agricultural economic development theory and practice , medium-sized enterprises and resources and environmental economics . There are 20 graduate students at school . The employment state is good to graduate students , among them 5 people are admitted to doctoral candidate .

Except for doing well master degree candidate and educational work inside the plan of undergraduate course , we still pay special attention to adult’s educational work . In 2003 , our department became the first batch in our university , which had the qualification of having agricultural economic management professional working graduate student . The first students recruited in it have already begun to enter the school and have a class . In 2003 , with the approval of the province education department , our department obtained the qualification of recruiting undergraduate course , and training in common who are taught by correspondence . Which has two speciality , one is engineering management , the other is the real estate . In spring of this year , we will have the initial enrollment .
