 The computer science department of Finance and Economics university of Henan established in 1985, it was the important base where our province trained the computer and information science senior talent, have already formed the scale after more than ten years of development. Have a master station at present: Management science and project (national first class discipline ), three bachelor degrees: Computer science and technology、 information management and information system ( university's famous-brand speciality)、 information and calculation science, a training speciality: The computer uses and safeguards. The main discipline direction includes: Network technology of the computer and using, e-commerce, the management information system, multimedia technology, system engineering, network analysis, applied mathematics,etc.. At the same time our department still consist of research room of computer software, research room of the computer hardware, research room of network analysis, operations research and probability research room.
The teachers of our department have rich strength, there are 54 teaching and administrative staff, 5 of professor among them now, associate professor is 16, the lecturer is 14, in charge of 2 outstanding young and middle-aged experts in Henan Province, the young teacher has doctors, master's degrees in 60%.
The teaching scientific findings of our department are rich, in recent years, publish more than 10 works, publishing more than 300 theses, among them there is a lot of one that has already been included by SCI, EI and ISP, has undertaken a lot of great scientific research development items, 20 more than project obtain at provincial and ministerial levels to reward, a lot of educational reform project obtain outstanding teaching prize of the achievement, university of Henan Province.
The Chinese and foreign periodicals of reference room of our department are abundant , collect more than 10000 volumes, more than 30 kinds specialized periodicals of China and foreign countries books, have met scientific's research of teaching demands basically.
The testing equipment of our department is advanced, there are 3 computer software laboratories , have modernized teaching scientific research equipment, such as 150 high-performance computers and a batch of HP, tide server, CISCO exchanger,etc., there is a electrician's electronic laboratory with more than 60 series word oscillographs , there are one-chip computer laboratory, computer network laboratory and multimedia making laboratory , still have 5 multimedia classrooms.
The computer science department pays much attention to the cultivation of student's quality too while paying attention to theory teaching, and in line with the trainedding of " sincere、 learned、 intelligence、 health ", make student's working and walk in the front row of the whole university. Our department has already set up teaching and practise the base with a lot of units at present, offer the good environment for training high-quality IT talents.
