　 Founded in 1995,The Tourism Administration Department of Henna Financial and Economic university is the first department that can offer 4-years undergraduates programs in Henan province.

　Since the establishment, we have integrated the educational principles and the spirit of educational reform, as well as the outline of development in an all-round way into the efforts to exert our advantages, widen the range of the program,adjust and optimise the program’ structure. Our target is to cultivate qualified intermediate and advanced students, which are adapted to the requirement of socialist market economy and are equipped with good moral character and the theory of modern tourism administration in all sorts of tourism resources and markets, selling and scheming , as well As teaching and researching. More than 400 graduates have entered employment force since 1999, All of which are widely praised for their extensive khowledge of economic administration, superior working ability, and good English.they have made their contributions to the local economic development, especially the rapid advance of the Henan tourism. At present,there are 397students study in our department.

　 Tourism Administration is a comprehensive and applied science on the basis of economics and administration.we have deepen the teaching reform in an all-round way with the concept of setting up superior moral character, pursuing advanced knowledge and making great achievements.Our teaching targets aim at the concept of ‘creativity,diligence, precticallness and superiority’, which is based upon Henan,serves Henan and the nation. Special attention is put on training students’creativity and their practial abilities. Both solid professional knowledge foundation and practical skills are emphasized in our teaching programs, such as the combination of in-class and out-class activities,compulsory and selective courses, major and minor courses, A mood of strict teaching and diligent study has been set up among the teaching staff and the students.

　 The integration of the teaching of knowledge and the training of capability requires lots of fundamental researches. We are very proud of our achievements-but in no way complacent. We have 2 professors, 2 doctors, 3masters, 1 master tutor, 6 associate professor and 6 lecturers.working in the department , as well as 5 part-time professors from some prominent enterprises.Team work is advocated and the teaching staff has capability for scientific research. They have presided and participated in 20 research programs on national and provincial level, 48 programs on the department and bureau level, 50 academic papers and 15 books have been published. The department attaches importance to practical activities, and has established associations with many tourist enterprises, We have set up practice bases in more than 10 luxurious hotels, travel agencies and scenic spots, and established communicative and cooperative relations with many universities in China.
